To access your training, visit quickbookstraining.com/login. Enter the email you used at purchase and your password. If you never set up a password, or can't find it, follow these steps to reset it:

  1. Select the password reset link.
  2. Enter the email address you used at purchase and select Recover my account.
  3. You'll receive an email titled "Password reset". Open that email and select the link to reset your password.
  4. Enter your new password in the New password and Confirm new password fields.
  5. Select Reset password.

Now you can log in using your email address and your new password.

If you still have trouble signing in after resetting your password, please clear your browser's cache/history. Sometimes the browser can hold old login information.

Getting Started

When you purchase a QuickBooks training plan, we send a welcome email to the address you used at purchase. The email is titled "Welcome to QuickBooks Training" and is sent from [email protected].

If you don't find this email in your inbox, check your spam folder in case it was automatically filtered. To reduce this risk, add [email protected] to your email address book.

If you're not the purchaser, please reach out to whoever purchased the training plan to get the Welcome email.

If you're still unable to find your welcome email, reach out to [email protected] and we will send you a replacement.

When you purchased your Team plan, you received a welcome email from QuickBooks Training titled "Welcome to QuickBooks Training". Open that email and in it you'll find a link to a form that you can use to submit your team's info. After you submit their information, we'll set up their accounts and they'll all receive welcome emails.

If you cannot find the welcome email from your purchase, email [email protected].

Most people should take How to Use QuickBooks or How to Use QuickBooks Desktop first. You can take the class live or at your own pace.

For industry-specific and advanced training, we recommend using the filters on the self-paced courses page to find the best class for you.

From the self-paced courses page, you can use filters to look for courses that cover what you want to learn in QuickBooks. When you select a box in the filters section, you'll see courses related to what you selected on the right.

Usually, the more filters you use, the fewer courses appear, because with each filter you're narrowing the list of courses. You can also use the search bar above the courses to search for courses by name.

Self-Paced Courses

Here are some helpful hints to correct common errors:

400 and 403 Bad Request Error: These errors usually mean you should clear your browser's cache or cookies. If your browser asks how far back you want to clear your cache or cookies, we recommend performing a complete clear.

Vimeo is blocked: This error usually means your company's network or browser blocks Vimeo. To resolve it, whitelist Vimeo.

Live Classes

  1. Go to the 2-day classes page or the Live mini classes page.
  2. Select the Register button for the class you want to attend.

After you register for a live class, you'll receive a registration confirmation email from Zoom. About an hour before your class begins, you'll receive another email from Zoom with your join link for the class.

If you don't see these emails in your inbox, check your spam folder. Also note that the emails go to the email address you see on your Account page.

If you're signed up for a 2-day class, you'll see the start time on the 2-day classes page. If you're signed up for a shorter class, you'll see the start time on the Live mini classes page. Note that all listed start times are in Central time.

You'll receive an automated email from Zoom about an hour before your live class begins. That email contains a join link you'll use to join the class. If you are attending a 2-day class, use the same link for both days.

We do not record our live classes, but you can watch the self-paced versions of our courses.

Our live classes do not include a certificate of completion. However, all of our self-paced courses do offer certificates of completion. You receive a certificate of completion via email upon completion of each self-paced course.

All of our live classes are taught through Zoom. So you'll need a web browser that is compatible with Zoom, or you'll need Zoom installed on your computer. You can find out more about this on Zoom's website. You do not need a microphone, webcam, or even the QuickBooks software to attend our classes.

To cancel your registration for a live class, find the confirmation email you received from Zoom when you registered for the class. You can cancel your registration from that email. This will cancel your registration with Zoom, but the website will still show that you're registered. Don't worry, this won't cause any problems.

Alternatively, you can just choose to not attend the class and there will not be any negative repercussions.

Absolutely! You can attend any live class as many times as you like. Just go to the 2-day class page or the Live mini classes page and select the Register button for the class you'd like to attend.

To reregister, email [email protected] to get a new registration link.

Live 1-on-1 Help

  1. Select this link to go to the Live 1-on-1 Help page.
  2. During most business hours, you'll see multiple rooms open. Join the room with the fewest people waiting in line.
  3. Wait until the instructor calls your name and ask your question!

First, check the time. Live 1-on-1 Help is available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Central time. If you're within that time, please check the top of the page for a banner. If we're observing a holiday or our instructors are engaged in professional development, you'll see a banner explaining when Live 1-on-1 Help will return.

If you see that you don't have an active subscription, you'll need to reactivate to join Live 1-on-1 Help:

  1. Select this link to go to your Account page.
  2. Select Subscription from the left.
  3. If your last renewal payment was unsuccessful, select Pay Now next to the failed payment. This will reactivate your access.
  4. If you canceled your subscription and want to restart it, select Reactivate next to the subscription information.

You should now be able to access Live 1-on-1 Help from this page.

Certification & Exams

Certificates: When you pass a certification exam, you'll receive your certificate in an email titled "You earned a certificate", sent to the email address you used when you purchased your training. If you no longer have access to that email address, email [email protected] for a copy of your certificate.

Badges: Select this link to find your badges. Note you must be signed in to see your badges. If you don't see a badge for a test you passed, try refreshing the page. If you still don't see the badge, email [email protected].

Your score was shown at the end of your exam and after you leave that screen it is only retrievable by our staff. If you missed that screen, or forgot your score, email [email protected] and we'll send you your score.

If you purchased a Certification or Team plan, select this link to access certification. You'll see a section for each certification exam. Select the exam you want to take, and good luck!

If you paid for certification but you can't access the certification exams, email [email protected]. Our team will happily restore your access.

Billing & Subscription

  1. Select this link to go to the Payment Method page.
  2. Use the buttons on the screen to add new payment methods, edit existing payment methods, designate a payment method as the default, and delete payment methods.
  3. Select Subscription to confirm that your payment method is applied to your subscription.

  3. Select the Pay now button next to the missed payment.

To get receipts for your payments, select this link. Select the View button for a payment to see a receipt.

You can find all charges on your Orders page. You'll find your initial purchase and all subscription charges listed there.

QuickBooks Practice

Great news — both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online offer free trials that you can use to practice while you're learning. They're a great way to follow along with our training and get hands-on experience as you build your confidence with QuickBooks.

If your trial software tries to connect to an existing QuickBooks account or won't appear, a standard solution is to clear your web browser's cache. You can also try accessing it in an incognito tab in your browser.

The QuickBooks Online Test Drive doesn't expire, so you can use it as long as you like. For the QuickBooks Desktop free trial, you can use an alternate email to sign up for another 30-day trial.
